Our Under 6s team is the heartbeat of our club’s future – a place where children take their very first steps into the world of rugby in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
At this age, rugby is all about building confidence, coordination, and friendships. We use imaginative games, colourful equipment, and plenty of encouragement to introduce the basic skills of the sport – running with the ball, passing, catching, and working together as a team.

Our coaches.
Our U6s coaches are RFU-qualified, DBS-checked, and passionate about grassroots rugby. They understand the needs of young children and create sessions that are safe, structured, and full of fun.

We follow the RFU’s Age Grade Rugby guidelines, which means our U6s play non-contact rugby. This ensures children can enjoy the game without the worry of physical collisions, focusing instead on agility, balance, and ball-handling skills.
Training information:
- When: Sunday mornings
- Who: Boys and girls aged 4–6
- Kit: Comfortable sportswear, trainers or boots, and a big smile!
How to join:
We offer free taster sessions so your child can try rugby before committing. Simply get in touch via our social pages or email, or speak to one of our friendly volunteers on a Sunday morning.
