Touch Rugby
Touch is one of the fastest growing sports in England, played by people of all ages and skill levels.
Touch is a minimal contact sport which emphasises running, agility, passing, catching and communication. Touch is often referred to as Touch Rugby, but there is NO tackling, lineouts, scrumming or kicking involved. This makes it appealing to a wide range of ages and abilities, from juniors to masters and from slight to heavy builds.
Touch is one of the few team sports where men and women compete on teams together not only socially but at an international level. There are currently approximately 5,000 people playing touch in organised leagues around the UK.
If you have the desire and ability, competitive Touch can offer Regional, National and International opportunities from Juniors, to Seniors and on to Masters.
We play at the following times:
- April to October – every Wednesday 7pm – 8.15pm at a Greytree Sports Ground
- November to March – every Thursday 7pm – 8pm at John Kyrle High School Astro Pitches
- Various Social and ETA Competitive Tournaments throughout the year.
Whether you are a first teamer or first timer, social “pitch up and play” mixed touch rugby offers fitness and fun without a regular commitment.
